Ube Before Anything Else.Amongst all things heavenly, ube is making it's way to the mainstream. Most people are first drawn to the root crop because of it's vibrant purple color. Not to be confused with taro or sweet potato, ube has been used for decades in Filipino cuisine. Ube, or the purple yam, is a major root crop in the Philippines. Passed from generation to generation are a wide array of desserts that incorporate the purple yam such as halo halo, ube halaya (aka ube jam), ice cream, pastries, dessert fillings and whadda-ya-know.. our very own ube cheesecake.
Delectable, rich, creamy, savory... Need we say more? Let your taste buds do the talking. U-be fallin' in love with our treats!
